Our British riders have really done us proud this past weekend with both Gareth Hughes and Piggy French finishing with some really strong placings in the 2 countries in which they’re competing.

Piggy has had a strong start to her season on English soil, most recently completing Rockingham with 4 top 2 placings from her 4 rides there. She completed the CIC** to finish 2nd with Jump Jet III. The pair performed a smart test for 46.8 and added just 1 time penalty in the cross country to complete on 47.2. The score held the lead for the majority of the day until Andrew Nicholson, fresh from his Badminton win, came and pipped her to the post. Piggy was also 2nd in CIC* on Big Berry (agauin just adding a few time penalties cross country to finish on 45) and took the win with Fernhill G in the BE100 after 3.6 time penalties were added to their incredible Dressage score of 25.30 to finish with 28.90.

In Compiegne, Gareth helped his team to podium position in the CDIO 5*. His ride Don Carrisimo, has been on fine form for the past few months, regularly finishing in the places. Their score of 70.400% in the Grand Prix and 70.078% in the Grand Prix Special helped teammates Daniel Watson (Amadeus), Hayley Watson-Greaves (Rubins Nite) and Spencer Wilton (Supa Nova II) take the team top spot by an amazing 8%, knocking the Swedish team into 2nd and the Dutch into 3rd.

The Vetro Collection really must be helping these horses #FeelTheDifference…
