What a brilliant season

I have had this year with my Wonder Horse, King Champ. Travelling all over the country competing at BE 100 visiting some new venues for us including Llanymynech in Wales, Warwick Hall in Cumbria and the stunning Weston Park in Shropshire, also making an appearance at the prestigious Somerford International. We have had so much fun, producing some best ever dressage marks, tackling tricky show jumping courses with much more style and flying across some very technical cross country in our favourite phase. We’ve achieved lots of top ten results as our partnership continues to flourish and reach new heights and our confidence grows ready to take on some Novice tracks in 2017.

It’s very hard to believe how different things were looking a year ago with injury ending our season early, but that’s horses for you. Champ has more than repaid me for my nursing skills through last winter and strict routine to build him back up correctly, it really does show what can happen when you don’t give up. Stick by your friend and he will stick by you. I’d have to say my main highlights of the year for me have been representing British Riding Clubs again at both the National Dressage Championships in the Spring placed 9th and National Eventing Championships in the Summer with a fantastic Win for our debut at Intermediate level.

I’m so fortunate to have met Team Animalife at The Animalife BRC Eventing Championships at Swalcliffe and to become part of their team as a sponsored rider. Their product Vetroflex, a natural joint supplement, has supported Champ’s joints and bones throughout the rest of the competition season allowing quicker recovery time and will continue to give him suppleness and flexibility now through his period of well-earned rest before coming back into training in December to prepare for 2017.

I would highly recommend Vetroflex and talking to the team about their range and the best product to suit your horse, in particular I am interested in using their Intense Range on some occasions next year.

Now I am looking forward to the new British Eventing Fixtures and Events calendar for 2017, BRC Winter Qualifiers, winter training and of course taking forward Team Animalife in to the 2017 season. All I really have left to say is thank you, to everyone who’s stuck by me and Champ, I don’t call him my wonder horse for no reason, I couldn’t have asked for a better partner and friend. The support has been amazing but I’d also like to take this chance to give a huge thank you to my parents I couldn’t reach my goals and get to where I am today if it wasn’t for them from driving me around to putting in hours behind the scenes on a daily basis pushing me towards what I really want to achieve.
