Directions for use:
Feed 10g per 100kg of body weight per day. A 25ml level scoop gives approximately 30g.
There is a multilevel (5ml-25ml) scoop included in this product for your convenience.

Precautions:
For animal use only. Introduce to the horse’s diet gradually, splitting total daily serving
between AM and PM feeds (when applicable). Serve dependent on the individual animal but
as a guide. Store indoors or under coverin a frost-free, cool dry place out of direct sunlight.

What are the benefits of limestone for horses?
Limestone is a rich source of calcium, and so can be used by both horses and humans alike to maintain healthy teeth and bones. Calcium is essential for supporting bone growth and integrity, as well helping with muscle contraction. As a calcium deficiency can be dangerous for horses, limestone flour can help keep them strong and fit.

What horses may need limestone adding to their diets?
As a supplement, limestone is particularly useful for horses who are fed largely cereal, oats or bran-based diets as they may not otherwise get enough calcium, or their ratio of calcium to phosphorus could be imbalanced. It is also an essential mineral for the production of milk, and so limestone can be a useful addition to the diets of pregnant or lactating mares. Finally, many recommend limestone for horses as they get older and their bones naturally start to weaken.

How can I feed my horse limestone?
Limestone is best fed to horses as a fine flour-like powder that can be added to their daily feed.

How much limestone should I give my horse?
The amount of limestone you add to you horse’s feed will vary depending on their sex, size and dietery needs. Generally, we recommend 10 grams for every 100 kilograms of body weight.
